Now take the light colour. Work in the opposite direction now. Start a little outside the area that is already painted and again use strokes in a single direction, but staying within the existing fan shape. Do it lightly and randomly, so that you can still see the medium colour.

When working with Water Make-up preferably use separate brushes for light and dark colours.

You can create accents by adding thin lines using the dark colour and a fine brush. You do not have to wait until the previous layer of colour is entirely dry. For a more playful effect, the colours can blend into one another a little.
If you do not want the colours to mix, be sure to wait for the first layer to dry before applying another colour over it or up against it.
